When installing the BRU Server Agent version 2.0.2 on FreeBSD 7 x86, the following message appears of you select "y" to install the Agent into the system startup scripts:
Add agent to system startup scripts? (y/n) y
Fatal installation error:
Unknown platform: freebsd7
The easiest solution is to do the following:

  1. Select "n" (no) when asked if you would like to add the Agent to the system startup scripts.
  2. Once the installation is complete, run these three commands:

    sudo touch /usr/local/etc/rc.d/bruserver-agent.sh
    sudo echo "/usr/local/bru-server/agent" > /usr/local/etc/rc.d/bruserver-agent.sh
    sudo chmod 755 /usr/local/etc/rc.d/bruserver-agent.sh

  3. Exit the terminal and you're done.  You have manually created the system startup script that the installer was unable to do itself.
TOLIS Group Engineering is aware of this and the problem will be resolved with the next build of the BRU Server Agent for FreeBSD 7 x86.  Until then, the above steps will provide you the ability to have the Agent start automatically on boot.
