BRU Server Agent for OS X Updated

The BRU Server Agent version 2.0.2 has been updated to build 200. This update fixes an issue that occurred during the build process that caused the agent daemon to execute with incorrect permissions and the configuration window to lose focus unexpectedly and open behind other windows that may have been on your desktop. The issues in the build process have been resolved.

There are no code changes with the agent itself which is why this is only a build update to 2.0.2 instead of a version 2.0.3.

Because this is not a level update, there is one manual procedure that you will need to perform on your OS X systems if you installed the previous 2.0.2 Agent. If you are still running 2.0.1 or 2.0.0, you do not need to perform this step to update to 2.0.2 build 200.

  1. Open a Terminal on the system
  2. Execute the following commands BEFORE running the new build 200 version:
    sudo /usr/local/bru-server/agent --kill
    sudo rm /usr/local/bru-server/agent
  3. You may ignore any errors that result when running the "--kill" command above.
  4. Execute the new BRU Server Agent Config tool

This will update the currently installed version to build 200.

NOTE: This update may require that you disable and re-enable the "Starts on Boot" option in the Agent to ensure that the proper Agent startup item is loaded into your system preferences.

You may download the new build from the normal location:
