Where are NFS mounted volumes in BRU Server displayed?

NFS Shares on Mac OS X

Under Mac OS X , an SMB share is usually located inside the /Volumes folder under the system in which the SMB volume is mounted.  However, NFS mounted volumes do not display in the same place.

If you are backing up a Snap Server other system that BRU Server cannot have an Agent created for, you are permitted to setup a share of the unsupported BRU Server client and mount the drive to another system that is supported as a BRU Server client.  You can do this via NFS, AFP, SMB, etcetera.

If you choose the NFS option, you'll find that the mounted volume does not show under the /Volumes directory as just about every other volume on Mac OS X does, instead, you'll find that the drive is actually listed under the /nfs_reshared/ folder.

Therefore, if you are backing up a system called "BRU Man" and the NFS share has been named "Snap Server," then the folder that needs to be backed up is found under:

+-BRU Man
   +- /
     +- nfs_reshared
       +- Snap Server

Licensing Note: It is a violation of the BRU Server license policy to mount a system in which the BRU Server Agent can be made to support.  If you have any questions about licensing and Agents, please contact BRU Sales.
